comparing

i have a pentax k200 and like it but i found that a lot of people around me have canon cameras......has anyone done any comparing these two? ............

Have'nt used the K200 but have used a K20D as well as several Canons, Nikons, Fuji and olympus. Each system has subtle differences, advantages and disadvantages but none are bad. Personally i found Pentax autofocussing just a bit slower overall than Canon/Nikon - but some of that comes down to lenses. Unless you have some pressing reason to swap - such as the availability of the lenses you want in pentax fit there's no reason why your Pentax should'nt give you as good picture quality as the equivalent Canons.

Hi Sadiesmom, welcome to the forums.

There will be lots of tests of new cameras that might have compared a Pentax to a Canon but I have to ask why you're interested?

If there is nothing wrong with your Pentax (and I mean physically wrong with it) then you'd gain absolutely nothing from the equivalent Canon.
