Another vote for wired remotes. The TC80N3 is great, and while it's a fair bit more expensive than the RS80N3 the additional features are invaluable. If the Canon remotes are out of your budget range then Hahnel also have quite an extensive range that are quite a bit lower in price.

A bit of tape deals with any cable dangling problems easily enough too

A wired remote gets my vote too, as there's often a small delay using a wireless shutter release that can mean you miss the shot you want if your subject is moving. No delay with a wired remote release at all. You press, it fires!
