I agree, ALL elements must be in the same time frame. I know its not possible to prove it, but whats the point of winning if you bent the rules, it would be a hollow victory.
The question regarding equipment has been misunderstood I think, you can use any kit you like to take the image, but must not stated in the subject, Macro shots, wide angle shots etc, if you have it use it to create whatever you like so long as it fits the brief.
How about a compromise on the time frame, open it from friday AM your time to Sunday PM your time ?
