I must admit though that I like the tight time frame of the weekend which helps organise my head. But it`s a denocracy so whatever people feel.
Cannot call it the weekend comp then though.
Re: equipment exclusions as Falke was talking about I think the spirit of the comp was that the subject should not exclude anyone by weather conditions/ season etc. Once we start putting in equipment restrictions it would really get messy. Not all have flash perhaps,1.4 lenses as above, very wide angle (as used by me this weekend) - where do we stop?
I agree with everything Paul's said here.
The tight time frame has always been OK with me. We have a parallel comp running at Camera Craniums which runs for a week and I think the two complement each other well for those taking part in both.
I think a fixed time scale is best, otherwise it could get too messy, one week wed one week thurs one week friday etc.
Also agree with Paul - limiting equipment isn't really a good idea. Paul himself as often shown what can be done with limited gear - his shots taken in the bath are legendary
But if someone wants to used a fully equipped studio, OK.
Del is right, points 1 and 5 contradict each other, but I guess that will be sorted when it's clear what point 5 is going to be.
I'm still easy whatever is decided.
