@flake, suggested rule 2 covers the exclusion of entrants, shots that require special kit or weather or location are implied in that suggestion so I have expand that so its clearer, thanks. Please re read the rules as they have been updated.
It sounds like there is a general agreement that some weeks we can apply a limit on post processing, it is good in some ways that then the complete novice is getting a more level playing field, but it inhibits us to a degree and does not force us to learn how to to use the tools at our disposal, so long as this is not applied every other week I would agree it can be a challenge to get the image right in camera and that is to be encouraged too. Rule 5 has been amended to include that the comp opens as soon as the subject is set, I tried to get this on the old site, it gives a much wider field too as you have people working on the roads and sites etc so the subject field is opened up. Please re read the rules as they have been updated.
any other ideas ? we can have a vote in a while to adopt the rules once they are more refined.
