Thanks for the comment Wavemachine, I know what you mean, and agree it's a bit pristine, but it's the recently renovated hull of the Cutty Sark, so has never been in the water. The plating is a mixture of copper and zinc, called Muntz, and was applied to ships to prevent algae growing and barnacles attaching themselves, to allow the ship to slip through the water faster.
