I had a quick google for your problem and found a forum chat with this work around , you never know it might just work for you .

QUOTE ...

The same happened to me. I'm not sure if this has anything to do with d90 firmware upgrade I did couple weeks ago.

Anyway, I was able to put it back to life again. This i what I did:
1. I charged my battery.

2. I took off the lens and mounted it on again, just to check if it has something to do with lens to body contacts (although I doubt that this has anything to do wit it, but you never know...).

3. Then I turned the on-body AF/M (not on the lens, but on the d90 body) switch to M (manual focus) position and turn the camera on. The green led info showed in a viewfinder again. Then I switched it back to AF and now its working as supposed again...

4. Green led info disappeared one more time and I repeated step 3. Now it's working fine...

Good luck

Mark
