My interpretation of HDR
HDR meaning High dynamic Range, allows a greater dynamic range between the lightest and darkest areas of an image than current cameras can achieve, This is nothing to do with the way out images that we see. These type of photos are 'Tone Mapped Images' which is a totally different kettle of fish.
