Interesting but didn't give me the answer and I’ll certainly have a go at that. Checked what I was doing yet again and this time could not find the gradient white to transparent. Thought I had selected it previously but obviously not. Using Elements 10 could not find a standard gradient white to transparent so made one (white foreground and background, gradient editor right top slider to 0 transparency and saved it). Then hey presto did exactly as it shows on the video. I can only assume White to transparent is not standard? Thanks for your help CR3Snapper.
