I'm not a fan of the over the top look of some HDR images but these aren't too bad , when you say you took some HDR images do you mean you shot a bracketed set of images and then used software to combine them or does your camera have a HDR mode .
I ask because some of the shots don't have the wide dynamic range of a full spread of exposures ( lost detail in the shadows ) .
