I regularly take photos whlist whitewater kayaking using a waterproof compact camera.

Many shots are ruined by water droplets (not that any of them are particularly great!) on the lens.
Does anybody have any tips on drying off the lens cover whilst out on the water? I have tried a small chamois, but this is no use as it too gets wet. Water repellent sprays (e.g. Rain-ex) don't seem to help either.
Any advice would be appreciated.
