I guess i should say where I stand on the change of Rules re: archive photo's.
One of the main reasons why my photography improved on this website was that you were given a brief and a deadline and it made you think. One great photographer said you are within 20 yards of a great photo where ever you are, you just have to see it.
Regarding the time frame the rules were changed not long ago I quote:
Rule2) To be valid images must be taken after the theme has been posted, up to midnight Sunday in your time zone. ALL of the elements of any composite images or montages must also be taken within this time frame. So if you look at the time theme's have been posted in most cases there have been 4 day's to take your photo.
I think that the time constraints and the fact that you may be stuck in doors can make you a bit more creative in your photography its not just the brilliant subject you can get to, it could be that bottle of beer knocking around or a pressy bottle of Jd and some Christmas lights that photographed well that could win competitions

.
I do know that the last three entries I have put in have been Imagined, thought out and done at home in less than a hour. Plus they are images I would not have taken had it not been for the Dc comp, so I am grateful the comp made me get my camera out and get my creative cap on.
Anyway I am happy to go with what ever the majority is, but I am a bit lazy and would trawl through my archive and perhaps my photography would suffer.
Great entries by the way, thought some one would have put red underwear in Dohhhhhh lol
