Well, you can override the auto-DX selection and get some opportunities for more creative cropping. Some DX zoom lenses cover the full FX image circle at parts of their zoom range.

Any F-mount lens that fits the D70 will fit the D600. AI, AI-S and E models will give Aperture Priority in addition to metered Manual exposure , on the D70 they give only manual with no meter.

The D600 is pretty much an FX version of the D7000, but with improved AF & Metering, and some other stuff like better video.
