I see the gesture as thoughtful, personal and possibly unique too. A lot of effort goes into producing a framed photograph but alas, this is overlooked. If you make a name for yourself, preferably in photography, you may receive more thanks and encouragement from the recipient, otherwise the pictures will be removed to the attic till your next visit when they'll take pride of place again
