I do think one should try the current trend, just to learn the skill. That does not mean you have to like the result.
Most of us know that to make a fast running stream or waterfall look that way, a slower than normal exposure is necessary. But when it looks like a cloud with absolutely no detail, then I think it has gone too far. That was the photo that the man was defending, and it wasn't even his!
