i think everybody wants to be noticed it's just how far you are willing to push yourself
as far as photography is concerned i would say the same applies but most are content with publishing a few images on websites such as this and flckr etc and some want to go that extra mile
i am personaly content with the latter although i do enter the odd image into photo comps but rarely get very far
