I had been hanging out for one of these two wide angle lenses for some time, but finally purchased the sigma 10-20 earlier this summer. As already discussed above, I too have nothing but praise for the Sigma lens. Its sharp, and colour really pops.
It's unlikely that anyone would have both lenses and live with them for any length of time, other than for a short test period by those professionally employed to do so. I made my choice by researching such articles written in journals and on the internet, so I hope my opinion isn't construed as bias just because I invested in the Sigma brand. For the money and the quality you'll get out of the Sigma lens, I say don't waste any more time without a wide angle zoom, and go for the Sigma.
