What is the 'DRI' stand for?
DRI is dynamic range increase.

When you under and over expose 1 RAW file you aren't getting any more dynamic range. It doesn't magically appear from somewhere. DRI allows you to appear to increase the dynamic range from 1 fixed exposure.
