After a few years of not doing any serious photography, well it might be more than a few. I've got the urge to start again.

All my last equipment was Olympus OM (still have) and want to defo move to DSLR.

Not complete stranger to digital photography as I've been using Panasonic bridge (OK for what it is).

Started doing some reading and 650D seemed ideal for my interests, mainly bird photography and a bit of landscape. Then I discovered its a new model and prices are a bit on the high side.

Bit more reading and find that there are a couple of alternatives 600D and 60D with slight differences in price to 650D.

Kind of thinking the 650D with the articulated screen and improved AF might be best choice and as I'm not going to buy till towards end of Sept prices might have dropped slightly. As there are not many on 650D its proving difficult to make a decission.

Any thoughts/copmments appreciated.
