I quite like the "halo" it brings an element of fantasy land to the photo, a bit of art. I just think if the "halo" was removed from the stem it would look more like the petals are glowing and not the whole flower. It is a personal preference though as I like more "artistic" photography. It would also make a stunning "reality" flower shot and a close up. Try cropping so you have a quarter of the centre of the flower bottom left and the rest petals but not showing one full petal if you understand.
Doing this and a close up of the drop has given you 4 completely different photos from the one shot. Fantasy art "fairy land" type flower, normal flower, close up with drop as the subject and a close up flower (macro kind of) shot.
