Hi Mark, cheers for this. Yeh, duh, why didnt i think of sticking one of my ND grads on, what an iijut! Will make sure to remember that one next time! As for longer exposure, yeh i was expecting to use bulb mode and go plus 30s, but - typically - my remote shutter release, which had been working fine all day, declined to even power on whilst on the beach... so 2sec self timer and 30sec max it was. (It started working again as soon as I got back...grr..)
