I always use Lynda.com for the video tutorials when new versions come out and have used the basic/beginners videos which seem to talk you through first use then talk about the tools and show you what they do on the video screen so you can see. They provide exercise files also so you can do as there doing to get some hands on experience. I find these video's far better than books but then im dyslexic and can struggle to read. We all have different ways we learn better so if books arn't your thing maybe the videos are.
