There's not a great deal wrong with this shot, but the golden rule is that 'centre' shots like this must be symetrical. You could try rotating the image a little (about 2 degrees clockwise. Any more than that and the horizon will go way out.) then cropping for effect. Use the graticules when you engage the crop tool to make sure everything lines up properly - if not adjust the rotation. The fact that you where not in the middle of the pier when you took the pic will always be apparent, but you may get away with it.
