I don't know if you're still hunting for a strap.
I had a case for my lap top, but never used it (always used the backpack). I noticed that the shoulder strap was wide and substantial so I nailed it to the Nikon. It works beautifully and is very comfortable both round the neck and on the shoulder (and cheap!)
