I deliberated for months over the 60D and 7D and it came down to the budget in the end, I was determined to stick to it no matter what. No regrets as the 60D does all I need it to do. I photographed MotoGP last year and the 5.3fps was sufficient; the lens was much more important. The articulated screen is very useful and I took my recent competition entry using it ('Water Waste').
All in all a great camera, ok not as rugged as the 7D and perhaps not as much kudos. I've taken it up and down fells, on beaches etc etc and it's never let me down even when it got quite damp in Cumbria.
Have fun no matter which model you go for. Oh, my kit lens is the Sigma 17-70 OS HSM lens.
