As a sarcastic answer put it on the camera, point it at the subject and press the shutter release. That's about it for most of it.

There are a few switches which I expect you'll be familiar with AF/MF to switch between auto & manual focus; a focus limiter so the lens doesn't have to hunt through the whole focus range; Image Stabiliser on off (speaks for itself) and the mode 1 for normal 2 for panning.

It's a nice lens, but due for replacement immenently in fact the announcement is expected on the 24th of this month according to rumour control!

Hopefully that's all the instruction you need for it.
