Thumbs up Put me in the new category

After years of lugging around the big iron, and after two spinal fusions, I have retired the D3s, D300s, D200s and switched to the V1. My bag is now 30 pounds lighter and I have what I consider to be a great camera. I use three V1 bodies, one with the 10-30 Nikon 1 lens, one with the 30-110 Nikon 1 lens and the third with the LT1 lens mount adapter and my Nikkor 70-200 f/2.8 VRII attached. That gives me the full frame equiv. of 27mm to 540mm, and if I throw on my Nikkor 2.0 extender, I can push it to 1080mm at f/5.6.

I shoot professionally for three automobile magazines and am the Motorsports editor of one. I hang in three art galleries and compete with 5 different photo clubs and since switching over to the V1 have found that I am selling more work and getting more "wins" in competition. I suspect it is because I am able to shoot with less pain from my back due to the lighter weight. Whatever the reason, I am certainly not going back to big iron anytime soon.
