I can't really do the newspaper test because I can't get some decent light on to it. So that's why I'm not carrying that test out and also I don't think its worth the effort because I think its a bad example to use.

This test is more detailed, same principle: a controlled subject with clear images. If you cannot get enough light for the newspaper test, how are you going to do this one?
