Congratulations Dan! Nice take on the theme. I liked the idea and 'freshness' of the shot but I agree with pea in that I thought the first two shots were similar. However, nice detail captured especially in the kiwis. And i thought the black border worked well. My vote went to
Pea's 'Trees in Floods'. I really liked the the detail in the trees, the balance of the three shots reallly worked IMO. Nice reflections and I just found myself looking at it for the longest time. Nice colours too.

Wavemachine's 'Beauty' - Another favourite of mine. Vibrant colours, loved the touch of water droplets on the middle one. But i wasnt too keen on the double framing around each shot. Still loved the subject though.

Thanks dan and wavemachine for my crits. I tried different shots for that top right image. but finally decided on the nose and whiskers. I tried to include the eye but it looked weird. So I know what you mean and I wasnt 100% happy with it. I was pleased with the colours and the textures though
