markgozz is right, your best solution is Adobe's free DNG converter. DNG files are RAW files just like the originals, but they will work with older versions of Elements and Photoshop. Here's the link:

You can't just download the latest version of Adobe Camera Raw, I'm afraid, because they're tied in with the version no. of Elements and Photoshop. RL
