I used to shoot with a D40. Me and my son (who has a D3000) went to watch the Rallye de France and while we were moving from one spot to another, I tripped (didn't lift my leg high enough over a fallen branch, stiff knees after having them both replaced) and fell straight on my D40 lens. So I'm now waiting for news of the new D800 to replace the old but trustworthy D40 with.
