I'm pretty sure that apart from the F3AF lenses, it's only the very old pre-1977 lenses that don't fit the DX cameras (they still work on the FX bodies). On a number of the older lenses it's necessary to fix the aperture at the minimum (say f22) setting for them to work - I have no idea why!
