Lens for Cricket

Hi Mark,

Seriously impressed with your photography. My name is Gopi, 27 years young, working in IT as Solutions Architect, very passionate with very little knowledge on cameras, lenses and photography. I am an addictive cricketer since I am 10 years of age. I am playing for a club here as the captain for my team. All these make me more crazy about taking cricket pictures. In fact, my only motto of getting the Camera is to shoot Cricket pictures and videos more closely.

I already have Nikon D3000 and D300s with 18-55, 55-200 and 18-200mm lenses. I seriously don't know what the other details of the lenses like they say f3.5-4.5 IV etc etc... I just ordered a Nikon D7000 Body only online, considering few reviews and my budget limitations. Video shooting @1080P was one of the main considerations getting this camera.

I need a great help from you to choose a lens for it to shoot Cricket photos (especially like the ones that are on your home page). Unfortunately I can't go above $1000 (AUD) on the lenses at this stage. But let me know if there are better lenses, I will try increasing my budget. Also, happy to change my camera order from Nikon D7000 to any other camera you suggest me? I just noticed that good lenses need a Full Frame camera, though they support small APS-C sensors too. Nikon D7000 is not falling in those Full Frame cameras. Appreciate your advice on the above. Thank you so much in advance.
