Finally got around to my ups and downs.

Above: Mannananscloak - The Poplars
I think you've got great subject matter but could possibly have improved the composition by moving slightly to the right to get the full door visible in the gateway. This would also have move the "Poplars" sign off the centre line. I've had a play around with contrast and saturation and I personally think you could really bring out the shapes and textures with a little processing. PM me if you'd like to see what I mean (I can either post on forum or PM you). Great spot though.

Again, this was great subect matter but I think it needed something in the composition to make it stand out. Maybe changing the angle, tighter crop. Since it's such a gritty envinronment, I think b&w works well. If you'd like to see how I might have processed it, let me know.

I'm not saying i know better - it's just my style and opinion :-)

I voted for Semaj: Many Windows which I thought was a stunning capture. The movement in the water, the halo of light around the building and the wonderful lighting in the wondows.

Other shots that were in the running for my vote were: Number 185, Office Block and The Greenhouse. It was a great theme but very challenging. I was surprised there were so many great shots.
