It's difficult to be objective about the test shots because you haven't chosen a particularly contrasty subject. With landscapes it's impossible to tell whether it's a shaky camera, poor focus or a very hazy day.
I repeat my (and others) advice - Put it on a tripod and take a shot of a newspaper at close range or something similar where we can really see how the lens is performing. It also gives the AF a chance to find itself.
Frankly, I wouldn't send it to Sigma on the basis of what you've got here.
