Exclamation canon 24-70 f2.8 L problem advice needed.

Hey peeps

Not long got a canon 24-70 f2.8 L and sold a shed load to buy it...(Not new)

I've been using the lens with no hassle...a superb lens I must say.

Today I ran into a problem which I think could be major...

When using the lens it autofocuses fine, zooms fine, ect at f2.8 you press the shutter and it does as it should..as soon as I move the aperture to anything higher than f2.8 it focuses ect but when you press the shutter button to take the shot an error 01 message appears.I've cleaned the contacts no joy...this doesn't happen on any other lenses..I'm thinking its something to do with whatever controls the aperture. Is there a ribbon that may be snagged or is my lens had it?

Please advise I'm devastated....

Thanks guys

Matty.
