You can iron the backgrounds for a smoother look, sometimes don't bother though. You could put a sheet of coloured card inside at the back. Can't recall the size but it;s pretty large, maybe 3ft 6 cubed.

The stand is a purpose stand for product photography, I can't for the life of me remember where I got it from except I got it online, maybe via Ebay. It has two sheets of shiny perspex, back & white and underneath there are little sockets with magnets, you then get 4 perspex cyclinders with magnets at one end which you can use as legs for the sheets.

Though any sheet of perspex would work, or you can use a sheet of picture frame glass and put colored paper under it.

The beauty of it is that you can literally put it up or put it away in 30 seconds, if that (not counting the ironing) and it only takes up the space of flattened circle about a foot diameter and 2 inches thick.
