I don't know if you have a iphone everyone seems too nowadays but there is a app you can buy that lets you use your iphone as a shutter remote. I've never bought a extra battery it would be nice to have one but i wouldn't put it up on the top priorities. Top of the list tripod and bag. If you plan on landscapes shutter remote and ND Grad.
