I have spotted a few (in fashion, for example) where clearly digital manipulation has been used. So why have rules? Also, once again the reader's vote counted for nothing! So why bother with what the readers think (and vote for) in any case. I certainly am not suffering from sour grapes - my little Chard last night was perfectly drinkable!!!
Hmm... I wondered about digital manipulation too.

I have only just looked at the images - I did check before but they weren't up. It was only when I got the email that I looked.

There are at least three seriously digitally manipulated in the World in Motion category too. I was disappointed to see them in there. It does not detract from the image as such, but it seems to me to be a bit unfair to place them with others that have little or no manipulation. One of these had some kind of fractal filter or something - it was obvious it was a work of art rather than a photo.

Destination Everywhere - I felt some of the photos did not fit the brief.

In the Digital Vision category I was a bit disappointed to see that several people had 2 photos selected. This in itself is not bad and I congratulate anyone who manages to do this. But if the photo looks like it's done by the same photographer or artist, then I think only one photo would suffice.

That said, I prefer this selection as opposed to last years - and I made editor's choice last year!!
