I don't agree with Ian and find most of the selected photos, but by no means all (the ones Ian finds crap?), inspiring. The many different ways of approaching the 'taking' of pictures, will help me improve my own skills. (I hope.)
I saw several 'old' favourites of mine, but also a lot of pictures I cannot remember having seen before.
I have tried to 'keep up' with the photographs as they were sent in, but of course, at some point they overtake you. Once that has happened there is no way of catching up. You can see 'the oldest' and 'the latest,' but the majority of the entries are 'stuck in the middle,' never to be seen again. (Unless they are lucky enough to end up on the shortlist.)
May I, again, plead for a search/sorting system that allows you to check out pictures you have missed? Or would like to see again? Maybe based on the period (month or even week) they were entered?
And, before I forget: Congraulations to all of you who made in on to the shortlist!
