The settings can be changed according to pages 302-303 of the
user manual, particularly the last part - "Resetting the File Name".
However, I must admit (not having a K5) these instructions don't make a lot of sense to me..... seems to depend on folders etc. But give it a whirl, perhaps it makes more sense to you with the K5 in your hand.
