Cheers for the advice, I have the absolute minimum running at startup the machine boots in around 40 seconds to desktop and usable(mainly waiting for the BIOS post).
Everything is fine on the machine (built it myself), think the issue was my own impatience/misunderstanding. I to am a fan of CCleaner as you can see for a 2 year old PC it is pretty good:-
