This month, your mission is to captura an original and dramatic shot at an air show. There are plenty from which to choose, from the major events such as the Cotswold Air Show (18 to 19 June) and smaller ones (for a complete list visit

We're after a shot that captures action, speed and excitement, and that makes us feel as if we're there, surrounded by the sights, sounds and smells that make air shows so exciting to photograph. You don't have to limit yourself to three-quarter images of planes banking across a blue sky: you may prefer to shoot an aircraft taxiing or silhouetted against a setting sun, or you might create something more abstract.
