Hope this isn't going off topic, perhaps you have had issue with the problem I faced this afternoon too.

Do any of the major manufacturers make a compact digital camera with an optical view finder?
It's for an elderly woman who wants to be able to see the image presented through a viewfinder rather than on a large LCD screen, which she finds hard to see in sunlight and uneasy with when trying to frame a shot.

She doesn't want a bridge camera as they are too big and bulky for her now. This afternoon I looked in Comet, Currys, Tesco electrical, Staples (getting desperate), Maplin (even more desperate!) and arrived at Jessops just after they closed.
