Ahaa, next time don't put the VOTE button if its really does not matter one bit LOL. Also the "Share This" link should be removed, i think for those who new to the competition like me, surely that "share this" button; i think, is the way to promote our photos into the other website(s) and gain more votes. So far, none of my submission are in the shortlist, its okay, maybe there is no "lucky" for me =)
Any way, good luck to those who have been in shortlist

Hi Annamir,
Your English is perfectly understandable, don't worry about that. And also don't worry about people like me, who go on about the number of votes some photos attract.
It is made abundantly clear that the voting system is for support only and does not influence the end result, so I should not really be bothered.
For me however, the votes and comments are part of the pleasure I get from this competition and also a way to learn more about photography. Making 'return visits' to the portfolios of people who visited mine, very often shows a totally different approach to taking pictures and it fires my imagination.
When I find a highly rated photograph, especially one where I cannot see why it is so special, I read the comments and look at the pictures of the commentators, in the hope to find out and therefore 'see' the picture with different eyes. If there is nothing there (no comments or portfolios) I feel disappointed and a bit cheated.
I did not realise the 'Share this' facility induced people to register en masse, just to vote, but it makes commercial sense I suppose. The wider the audience, the better for the site owners and advertisers!
Well, that's my rant for today!
Have a nice weekend all of you! And fingers crossed for all of us who still 'live in hope.' (Me included.)
Reinardina.
