Not sure which model you are going for so suggest you checkout the reviews here for your model. http://www.expertreviews.co.uk/laptops

The Packard Bell laptops are made for Dixons/PC World/Curry's so may not be as good/ value for money as they appear at first glance. I have a Acer PC which works fine but the documentation included as a booklet/PDF file is useless. Not sure on the Acer Laptops as I haven't used one. Did notice that some of the laptops couldn't be upgraded with extra memory as they haven't got any spare memory slots. When choosing one make sure the graphic's chip doesn't use shared memory on your main board, as this can slowdown what applications you can use and their speed.
