I can fix an older car, not sure about a current model. I used to help my dad replace brakes and various other parts all the time. I am also not a bad plumber due to helping him, and basic electrical (lost count on the number of light fixtures and ceiling fans). My father left school in grade 8 and had dozens of jobs before he joined the army and became military police. That was the 1950's. He tried to join for Korea, but they caught him being too young (my uncle meanwhile had joined the navy at 16 in WWII and eventually became one of the highest ranking ratings in the navy) so he joined later. He was with the UN in Cyprus and Egypt. He could do a lot of things (like install furnaces) that I have never learned to do.
