If trampolining is your main reason for getting the lens, then IS/OS won't be any help as you won't be able to use slow shutters anyway. I've the 70-200 f/2.8 non-IS (on a 7D) and use it in preference to the IS version that OH uses - but I rarely use either for wildlife
Portrait-wise, you could do worse than the standard 50mm f/1.8 - personally, I use my Sigma 105mm but that's as I like to stand back from my subject (and for my very rare studio stuff, my 15-85mm IS)
