I'm with Drew on this one...I've only just seen it but I am glad I came across it.
I personally take photos for a bit of fun. I also take them on the off chance I might find and capture something unique. I have a 14 month old son and cannot stop photographing him either.
How often do you pull out a photo album and recall a funny, sad, exciting, emotional moment and have it trigger a full on conversation. I know it's an old saying but a picture does paint a thousand words!
I have wanted to improve my photography since I bought my Fuji about 3 years ago but never had the drive to do it until I joined this site in December (shame on me I know!) When I look at some of the photographs produced by a group of superbly talented people on this site it makes me want to get out there and emulate them. I've already started to try and be a bit more creative - I just need a better camera!
