What makes me pig sick about this country or more correctly, the facist politicians, is that we have no money for the citizens of the UK when it comes to health, education, social security for the elderly but, we've got plenty for illegal wars, bank bail outs and shoving this nation further down the sewer towards total European intergration. Our parents and grandparents fought a world war to prevent Hitler having his dream of a European super state. Now we are forced into it without any referendum on the subject. European law trumps British law now. The soverignty of this country is being washed away daily by bureaucrats in Brussels.
The government doesn't represent the people of this country. They haven't for a long time. They are there to represent corportate interests through revolving doors. We have the illusion of choice. It wouldn't matter who got into power at the last election because whether they wear a blue, red or yellow badge, they are ALL make up the big government party, merely passing the baton in a relay race towards globalisation.
You are totally correct Keith. We are going to see some MAJOR lifestyle changes in this country when the full effects of the austerity measures kick in. Ultimately, we have ourselves to blame as society's apathy towards politics has increased dramatically in recent years, as people are more concerned with booze, football, celebrity and mind numbing TV for the masses. It is also our ignorance of fractional reserve banking that has resulted in the sad economic state of the world.
" It is well enough that people of the nation do not understand our banking and monetary system, for if they did, I believe there would be a revolution before tomorrow morning." - Henry Ford

It seems the only way things will change in this country, is for people to revolt against injustice in the same manner that Greece, Turkey and now Egypt are doing. Violence seems to be the only way politicians will sit up and listen. This is because they genuinely feel they are above and beyond reach when it comes to public reaction.
I'm not a lover of violence! Neither am I a revolutionist! But I am bright enough to see that if Politicians don't get down from their high horses and start listening to the people, then there are those who do believe in violent protest and they will provide it; as the students have shown us recently. And, of course, there was the Toxteth and Brixton riots of a couple of decades back to illustrate just how out of hand it can all get don't forget. We are living in troubled times. Much of it brought about by power hungry bankers and politicians...
